How to Install the TDL File in Tally

Step 1. Go to Gateway of Tally.
Step 2. Then Press Ctrl+Alt+T button
Step 3. Now Press F4 Button or Click on “Manage Local TDL” button
Step 4. Now do “Yes” to “Loan TDL Files on Startup” option
Step 5. Now in the next line “List of TDL Files to preload on Startup” Enter the TDL File Path or Location Like “E:\File.tdl”
Step 6. Now save the settings
Your TDL File is ready to use.

  4. Thanks for this valuable and useful depreciation TDL, i have downloaded and installed but it is not working / calculating depreciation, even i have fixed depreciation rates as applicable. Please guide me how it is worked and calculate depreciation on fixed assets. Thanking you

  5. TDL file loaded successfully and calculating depreciation as well. But there was a problem there. it only calculates depreciation and show the depreciation amount until you make the entry for depreciation. when you had enter the transaction for depreciation it takes such entry as sale or deletion. It means any CR. transaction in Fixed asset ledger would treated as sale or transfer of asset and when you make entry for Depreciation it also treat as transfer.
    The possible correction would be like that there would be an option to specify Depreciation ledger so that can not be treated as sale or transfer of asset when credited and one more suggestion would be depreciation chart should show Depreciation calculated as compared to depreciation recorded in books and difference thereof.
